Naija Issues..... And Food for You

Akingbola is Back....... So What?

Erastus Akingbola, the ex-CEO of Intercontinental Bank, is back in the country after a one-year self-imposed exile. The EFCC had declared Akingbola wanted for alleged fraud, and went as far as freezing his assets. Akingbola is back in Nigeria to defend himself, and surrendered himself to the anti-corruption agency earlier today.

However, that’s not the gist. The gist is why is there so much fuss about Akingbola’s arrival? What has the agency done to the other CEOs charged for the same offence, and who are resident in Nigeria? As far as am I’m concerned, this is another well-plotted Nollywood movie jare.

Service to the People: Is it a Must?

2011 elections are fast approaching, and as usual, our political gladiators are already making their moves. Of particular interest is the fact that some of the would-be contestants have lost in previous elections, and their popularity amongst the electorate is dwindling on per second basis. I don’t understand why they are so bent on serving us when we don’t want them to. Na by force to serve us?

A World Record Indeed

In order to make Nigeria's 50th Independence Anniversary a memorable one, the federal government has decided to make the world’s biggest cake! So, the only achievement a 50-year-old nation hopes to boast of is the world’s biggest cake. Hmmm....... How much is the cake? How many people will it feed? How long do we hope to hold on to that ‘enviable’ world record?

Too many questions, no meaningful answer.

Let’s move on, abeg.

I’m on vacation, and My Love is spoiling me silly. In the spirit of generosity, I'm sharing some of my food with you all:

Vacation is fun!
