Issa Yuguda, Bauchi State Governor

The Bauchi State Government on Monday announced the sacking of 1,000 political appointees, in order to pave way for a review of their appointments.
A statement by the Secretary to the Bauchi State Government, Alhaji Ibrahim Dandija, said in Bauchi that those who were affected included directors general, senior special assistants as well as special assistants, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
The statement added that the disengagement was with immediate effect.
It, however, stated that the review of the appointment would soon be done to reflect the ruling party’s structure.
The statement revealed that the action was taken to address the complaints of stakeholders that the earlier appointments were lopsided.
The directors general of projects, debt management office, ICT, and Protocol were not affected by the disengagement, the statement said.
Others are the directors general, orphan and vulnerable children, recruitment, as well as managing director of the NHIS.
